Join the Greater Nashua Area Branch NAACP for a great educational and cultural enrichment opportunity on Saturday, September 21st from 8:30 am to 4:45 pm (including the drive to Portsmouth and return)! Limited tickets are available (max 40 people), so reserve your spot now. Each attendee will receive a folder with educational material regarding the Black Heritage Trail and how it intersects with the history of Portsmouth.
Itenerary
1 -The morning will consist of a 90 minutes, leisurely paced walking tour of historic key Portsmouth sites provided by one of Black Heritage Trail New Hampshire's expert guides.
2 - Lunch at The Oar House. Ticket price includes an entree and nonalcoholic beverage at this highly popular waterfront restaurant. There will be a fixed price menu with various delicious selections for adults or kids. Gluten-free, Vegan and Vegetarian options are available.
3 - Portsmouth Harbor Cruise. A 1 hour and 15 minutes fully narrated cruise around the beautiful Portsmouth Harbor will take us through nearly 400 years of local history.
Transportation
Car pooling. We need volunteers! Drivers will be reimbursed for gas and any parking fees.

Adults $60 (same as last year) Seniors (60 years old +) $50
Students $40 Children (2 - 12) $35 (Children under 2 - free)
(Note: The branch is offsetting some of the expense of the day’s events in order to make the ticket price more affordable for our members, friends and supporters.)
How to Sign Up
1 - RSVP to this email (gnanaacp@gmail.com). State the names of everyone in your party and the type of ticket desired for each person (Adult, Senior, Student or Child). If you are a member of an NAACP branch other than Greater Nashua, please indicate this. Include a cell phone number. Please indicate whether you are available to be a driver for a carpool and how many you can take besides yourself. (hoping to have 4 or more per car)!
2 - You will receive an email within the month as to whether you and your party are on the attendee list. Along with this notification you will receive further instructions including how to pay (by check or online), a detailed itinerary including meeting places, addresses for parking, and a fixed price menu from The Oar House for your information. We will be ordering at the restaurant.
Rain Date
Saturday October 5th, 2024, same times. You will receive email notification 48 hours before the trip if the September 21st trip is canceled due to expected inclement weather.
